EMLS has an excellent performance history, via several past and ongoing (12+) projects, in supplying health IT/Medical Records/Transcription Management/eHR support services to several Primes (FUTURENET GROUP, INC (FNG), GLOBAL SOLUTIONS GROUP, IN (GSG) and DBP, INC) at multiple Federal healthcare facilities:
Through state-of-the-art security methods and procedures, confidentiality and privacy are maintained while all HIPPA/Hi-Tech requirements and client specific requirements & security features such as:
The services we have rendered have (directly and/or indirectly) supported Federal and State Governments’ Healthcare science, Biomedical Research efforts and Health Sciences initiatives.
Data and the secure data transport via software infrastructure we have created during the project executions included NUANCE and 3M systems which have basically redefined how clinicians and healthcare workers are interacting with technology.
Example: We implemented Nuance Healthcare systems at Customer sites to provide a full complement of solutions for clinical documentation and clinical transcription. These solutions combine advanced speech recognition technology with superior services and a single-source account management model to simplify Customer’s clinical documentation while maintaining quality.
Additionally, EMLS has reach-back capability with companies such as HARRIS Corporation, NUANCE, 3M, and the primed with which EMLS had been working with over the years, namely, FUTURENET GROUP, INC (FNG), GLOBAL SOLUTUIONS GROUP, IN (GSG) and DBP, INC.
Reach back capability with HARRIS CORP will give us access to Harris Trusted Enterprise Network (HTEN), which is an Infrastructure that Guarantees the Security and Privacy of Patient Information. HTEN is also a Nationwide Network with capabilities of Big Data, Cloud, Mobility and Unified Communications.
EMLS supported customers to implement HITECH and the Affordable Care Act to deliver incentives and penalties that encourage healthcare providers to adopt health information technology and use it in a meaningful manner to deliver high-quality care. These Acts encourage the adoption of Health Information Technology including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), and other technologies, such as normalized medical terminologies, automated order management systems, and physician-to-patient communication tools. Our services included:
the incentivizing of the EHR Adoption
Accountable care organization (ACO) model in which the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will reward providers for consistently positive patient outcomes and penalize them for poor results
Migration from ICD-9 to ICD-10
Fostering of a forward thinking among Health IT personnel to meet stringent regulatory demands, encourage Speech recognition technology which in turn encourages EHR adoption by allowing physicians to enter comprehensive notes into the EHR in the way they prefer – not through typing or point-and-click, but by simply dictating. Physicians can even use pre-defined templates that contain standard elements of an exam that are used repeatedly to speed data entry
Clinical Language Understanding:
We are also actively participating in industry organizations such as HiMSS and , Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), Public Health Data Standards Consortium (PHDSC, The Consortium), etc.
EMLS encourages the healthcare related staff to engage in internal initiatives, certifications, training programs, joint research projects, etc. One such example is financial assistance for HIPPA certification, health IT and science education related studies and research at Universities and community colleges, etc.
